Policy and Legislative Program Officer

Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on conservation of nature and the environment.

Positions available
Currently, ENV is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Policy and Legislative Support Program Officer.

Description of the job:
– Research policy and legislative documents relating to wildlife management and protection
– Analyze and write recommendations on revisions of related policy and legislative documents
– Work closely with authorities and decision makers to provide recommendations of law enforcement on wildlife protection
– Coordinate activities/campaigns in support of the program
– Work in close cooperation with other ENV’s departments
– Other tasks as assigned by the Manager

Requirements
– Vietnamese national, female preferred
– Research skills required
– Knowledge of government structure and mechanics (preferred)
– Law enforcement experience or training is beneficial
– Strong Vietnamese written language skills
– Fluent English written and verbal skills required
– Excellent communications skills and an ability to communicate and work with government partners
– Capable, dependable, confident, with excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
– Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines.
